The DfT has awarded £10m towards the £23m cost of a new link road to improve access to Newhaven Port. The port access road scheme will remove lorries from other local roads and open up land in the town’s enterprise zone. East Sussex County Council will meet the remaining £13m of the scheme costs. The road is 650 metres long and includes a bridge over the Newhaven-Seaford railway and Mill Creek Canal....
