Train operator Northern has submitted a recovery plan to the DfT and Transport for the North (TfN) as parts of the franchise continue to suffer cancellations and short formation trains.
The problems began in April and particularly affect the western area of Northern’s franchise, with many cancellations on routes to Barrow, Morecambe, Windermere, Blackpool, and Manchester.
