Bus passenger journeys fell across Great Britain in 2017, according to statistics published by the DfT. 

The number of passengers carried in England fell 1.8 per cent, a reduction of about 79 million journeys. Passenger journeys outside London fell 4.3 per cent and there was a 0.6 per cent fall in the capital. 

Patronage in Scotland fell 2.1 per cent and in Wales 4.1 per cent.
