W Yorks to cut bus spend

West Yorkshire Combined Authority is to cut expenditure on tendered bus services by about 20 per cent over the next three years, as part of plans to reduce the West Yorkshire Combined Authority paid by the area’s five districts. 

The current annual transport levy totals £95m, of which £19m is for supported bus services. The combined authority wants to cut this to £15m by 2020/21. This will be achieved by:
