Leeds proposes charging CAZ

Leeds City Council has announced plans for a charging Clean Air Zone covering buses, lorries, taxis and private hire vehicles within an area bounded by the city’s outer ring road in the north and the motorway network in the south. 

Vehicles that do not meet the minimum engine standards – Euro 4 for petrol vehicles and Euro 6/VI for diesels – will pay a daily charge. The council is working to implement the zone by the end of 2019. Automatic numberplate recognition cameras...
