Sheffield City Council has suspended Uber’s licence to operate private hire vehicles in the city.
The council said the decision was made “after the current licence holder failed to respond to requests, made by our licensing team, about the management of Uber”.
Uber can continue operating in the city until 18 December and if it chooses to appeal the suspension it can continue to operate until the appeal is determined.
