Westminster reduces parking tickets by 70% over 13 years

Westminster City Council now issues 70% fewer penalty charge notices (PCNs) than it did 13 years ago, with 322,454 being written last year compared to almost 1.05m in 2003-04.

The reduction is attributed to a number of reasons, including greater motorist compliance and education, more available payment channels, real-time information and technology.
