Khan confirms ULEZ for 2019

The implementation  of  central London’s Ultra Low Emission zone (ULEZ) will be brought forward 17 months, from September 2020 to April 2019, London mayor Sadiq Khan  announced this week.  

The ULEZ will cover the central London congestion charging zone and replace the toxicity charge (T-charge), which was introduced last month. 

Whereas the T-charge only applies during congestion charging hours, the ULEZ will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
