The government has awarded £345m to 76 local transport projects in England.
Two road schemes will share £101.3m from the DfT’s Large Local Major Transport Schemes Fund: Worcestershire County Council receives £54.5m towards a £62m improvement scheme on the Worcester Southern Relief Road, and Cheshire East Council receives £46.8m towards the £56.9m cost of the Middlewich Eastern bypass.
