Mass transit and new road links backed for Bristol area

A new mass transit system for the Bristol area is among measures recommended in the final report of a transport study commissioned by councils. Expanded park-and-ride, major road improvements, and demand management measures such as road pricing and a workplace parking levy also feature. 

Consultant Atkins was commissioned to conduct the joint transport study by the area’s four unitary authorities (Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, and Bath & North East Somerset)....
