Highways England has appointed consultant WSP to act as an implementation partner for connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) pilot projects on the strategic road network.
The consultant will assist on projects including: an interurban CAV testbed; the A2/M2 connected corridor; UK CITE; and freight platooning. These will test vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle to vehicle (V2V) information systems.
