The new operator of the West Midlands rail franchise has pledged to explore introducing a number of new services, including one over a section of the Severn Valley Railway.
West Midlands Trains, a joint venture of Abellio, East Japan Railway Company, and Mitsui & Co Ltd, won the new franchise last month and will take over services from 10 December, running to March 2026.
