The DfT has awarded £16m towards five new rail stations in England and Wales.
The successful applicants to the New Stations Fund are:
• Horden Peterlee in County Durham – it will receive £4.4m from the DfT towards its £10.55m cost
• Warrington West in Cheshire – £4.23m towards its £17.2m cost
• Reading Green Park – £2.3m towards its £16.5m cost
