Canadian engineering and construction giant SNC-Lavalin Group has completed the £2.1bn purchase of UK design, engineering and project management consultant Atkins after the takeover won the support of more than 83% of Atkins’ shareholders. The takeover (LTT28 Apr & 26 May) creates a company with more than 50,000 employees and annual revenues of about C$12bn.
