Inaccurate travel demand forecasts for urban areas are highlighted in submissions to the Commission made by big city authorities.

Bristol City Council says that,  whereas road traffic volumes on the city’s motorways rose 15% between 2000 and 2014, traffic on A roads dropped 6% and AM peak traffic entering the city centre fell 11%.
