The City of London Corporation wants Transport for London to cut the number of bus routes in the City, saying many vehicles are running only a quarter full even in the morning peak.
Thirty-six bus routes cross the City’s boundaries and more than 60 buses an hour pass down some of the City’s streets each hour.
