A controversial trunk road scheme on the western edge of the Peak District National Park looks set to be revived by Highways England, with the backing of local authorities.
The Mottram, Hollingworth and Tintwistle bypass was abandoned by the Government in 2009 but Derbyshire County Council says local authorities in Greater Manchester and Sheffield City Region both want the project reinstated to the road programme.
