Falkirk Council is opposing a plan by the South East Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) to acquire additional powers. 

SEStran is currently a ‘model one’ regional transport partnership (RTP), primarily responsible for preparing a regional transport strategy covering eight local authorities: Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian, Fife, Scottish Borders, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.
