Cheshire East Council is to procure a design and build contract for the Congleton Link Road, which aims to relieve congestion, improve access between Macclesfield and the M6, and open up land for residential development (LTT 24 Jun). The Government has provisionally awarded £45m towards the estimated £90m outturn cost of the road.
