The number of concessionary bus journeys made by holders of older and disabled concessionary travel passes in England fell 3.1% – or 31 million – in 2015/16, according to the DfT, despite the number of passes in circulation rising 0.9% (88,000) to 9.9 million.
Overall, 968 million concessionary bus trips were made.
