The Transport Systems Catapult is testing pedestrian detection technologies to better understand how people circulate within railway stations.
The project, being conducted for the DfT, is expected to test a range of technologies, including optical-based systems and those that rely on wifi enabled devices.
System suppliers had until this week to express interest in participating in the project, which is split into two parts.
