SEStran explores becoming a regional transport authority

The South East Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) will acquire extra responsibilities if it is turned into a regional transport authority for Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

SEStran is one of seven regional transport partnerships (RTPs) in Scotland and covers eight authorities: Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire, East Lothian, Falkirk, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian. As of August it had a team of ten staff.
