The Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles is extending its Plug-in van grant scheme to heavier vans and lorries. Electrically-powered freight vehicles above 3.5 tonnes will now be supported by the scheme. The first 200 applicants will be eligible for a £20,000 grant towards the cost of their vehicle.
