Response strategy for threatened Welsh buses

The Welsh Government has promised to develop a “local strategy” to respond when bus services are threatened with withdrawal.

The pledge is one of five made by economy and infrastructure secretary Ken Skates after a summer in which three significant Welsh bus operators closed. His five-point plan would support bus firms, small and medium-sized ones in particular, to become more sustainable and better able to deal with temporary economic challenges.
