Grayling probes Garden Bridge spending amid calls to spike infrastructure"follies"

The transport secretary is reviewing spending on the Garden Bridge after a raft of calls for reviews of major transport projects. 

The FT reported that Chris Grayling is "kicking the tyres very hard" on whether to proceed with the private project that relies on a Government guarantee. It quoted a Treasury source as saying that it was 'an absurd idea and clearly should be binned".
