MPs HAVE criticised the DfT’s draft Cycling and Walking Strategy for lacking ambition.
The All Party Parliamentary Cycling Group says the plan to double cycle trips by 2025 is “unambitious”. Noting that 2% of trips are currently made by bike, it calls for a target of 10% by 2025. Current spend on cycling of £6 per head of UK population should be raised to £10.
