The DfT has awarded £21m to 23 projects in England through its Sustainable Travel Transition Year fund.
Five areas received sums in excess of £2m: Birmingham City Council (£2.48m); Bristol City Council (£2.2m); Greater Manchester Combined Authority (£2.5m); North East Combined Authority (£2.343m); and Sheffield City Region Combined Authority (£2.5m).
