The European Commission has challenged the legality of the UK’s lorry road user charge scheme, saying it discriminates against foreign hauliers.
The Government introduced a time-based lorry road user levy in April 2014 with the purpose of ensuring that foreign hauliers make a contribution to the upkeep of the UK’s roads.
