Welsh & UK Tories at odds on rail

The Welsh Conservatives would encourage open access train operators to launch services on the main lines in North and South Wales if they form the next Welsh Government. 

The party’s manifesto for the National Assembly for Wales election in May promises that a Conservative government would: “Offer open access bids from non-franchise holders on the main North and South Wales rail lines.”
