Night buses replace taxis in Cardiff

A bus operator in Cardiff has arranged to operate a 24-hour bus service this weekend, if taxi drivers go ahead with a planned strike.

New Adventure Travel intends to operate its X1 route every 30 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights. Normal fares will apply and each bus will carry a security guard. The route connects the city centre to strings of residential areas to the east and west.
