Spike Island control zone completes Bristol residents' parking roll-out

Spike Island became the final zone in Bristol to be covered by a Residents Parking Scheme (RPS) on 4 January. A total of 12 residents parking zones have been created across the city since first scheme was introduced in the Kingsdown area in 2011.

The RPS policy has been championed by Mayor George Ferguson as a way of relieving increasing congestion in the city. However, some residential areas have opted out of the RPS.
