Upgrading the A14 to motorway standard, the possible widening of the M1, and building a northern orbital road for Northampton are among future major road investment priorities proposed by Northamptonshire County Council.
The list has been drawn up ahead of an expected invitation from Government for Local Enterprise Partnerships to submit new bids to the Growth Fund. Northants also wants to influence Highways England’s future Road Investment Strategies.
