All working speed cameras on England’s strategic road network must be yellow by October next year to ensure they are visible to motorists, the DfT has announced. Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin said: “Cameras should be visible and get used for safety rather than revenue raising. Speed cameras should make journeys safer rather than lead to dangerous braking.” Speed camera housings on local authority roads are already required to be yellow. ...
