Gateshead Council has appointed Co-Wheels to provide a pool car fleet that will also be used as a car club for the local community outside contract hours. Co-Wheels, a Community Interest Company based in Durham, will supply 18 vehicles, 16 to the civic centre and two to another site. The estimated value of the contract is £100,000 a year.
