The DfT is understood to be planning stakeholder roadshows around England next month to discuss the contents of the promised Buses Bill.The Queen’s Speech said the Bill would “provide the option for combined authority areas with directly-elected mayors to be responsible for the running of their local bus services”.
One council officer told LTT the DfT had been contacting councils, asking them for ideas of what the Bill should contain.
