Councillors in Edinburgh have approved plans to roll-out signed-only 20mph limits across residential streets in the city and on main roads in the city centre.
Implementation is expected to take three years. A consultation attracted 2,585 responses, of which the council says 60% were supportive and 36% were opposed. Feedback has prompted the retention of 30mph limits on a further six miles of main road.
