Hendy hopeful for bus lane ruling

London’s transport commissioner Sir Peter Hendy has voiced optimism that Transport for London will win the legal case over its policy of allowing taxis but not private hire vehicles (PHVs) to use bus lanes. PHV firm Addison Lee brought a judicial review against TfL’s policy last year, saying the policy amounted to illegal state aid to taxis.
