Transport planners and urban designers must give more thought to the needs of mobility scooter users, according to a new report for the DfT.
“Transport and planning authorities need to make provision for increasing numbers of mobility scooter users of all ages when planning infrastructure developments, including roads, shopping centres and transport networks,” says the Research Institute for Consumer Affairs (RICA).
