Politicians are leaning towards approving a second runway at Gatwick Airport because it is the most politically feasible option for airport expansion in the South East, London mayor Boris Johnson has claimed.
“It is perfectly obvious that, if a political fix is to be done, it will be done in favour of Gatwick,” Johnson told The Times last week. “That is, I think, where the parties are starting to get to.”
