A ten-year road map for exploiting the use of transport data is being commissioned by the Transport Systems Catapult.
Contractors were due to be appointed this week to undertake the two to three month study.
The project will identify the capabilities, applications and tools needed to improve the immediate use of data and identify a ten-year development programme.
