Transport for London has installed the UK’s first low-level traffic signals situated at the eye level of cyclists.
The signals have been installed on the early start traffic signals at Bow roundabout in east London, which give cyclists a head start over other traffic entering the roundabout. TfL has written to the DfT requesting trials of the low-level signals at 11 more locations.
