LONDON MAYOR Boris Johnson’s proposal to ban cyclists from wearing earphones appeared to hit a brick wall this week with the DfT saying it has no plans to introduce such legislation.
Johnson raised the idea last week alongside suggesting installing audio warnings on lorries that would alert cyclists to when drivers are turning left.
A spokesman for the mayor told LTT that the earphone ban would require legislation.
