The number of cases of Blue Badge fraud in the UK has fallen to 2,901 in 2012/13 from 4,809 the previous year, according to the Audit Commission’s annual report on fraud.
Not all cases resulted in a prosecution, with the commission pointing out that in some instances it involved removing entitlement to a badge or some form of internal disciplinary action.
