Bristol City Council will introduce two further residents parking zones in in March 2014. Independent mayor George Ferguson wants to roll-out parking zones throughout Bristol (PR July).
The latest areas to be zoned are St Philips and Easton, to help combat problems with commuter parking in the area. A council survey showed that 40% of daytime parking was by people who did not live in the areas. Under the scheme, residents will be charged £30 a year.
