Heathrow Airport has warned that its shareholders will not invest in a possible third runway unless the Civil Aviation Authority creates a favourable regulatory environment that allows an attractive rate of return.
The comments came after the CAA issued its final proposals for the economic regulation of Heathrow in the five-year period, 2014/15-2018/19, imposing a real-terms price freeze (RPI+0%).
