Skanska scoops highways maintenance deal that could last 20 years

Peterborough City Council has signed a contract with Skanska for highway maintenance services to replace four existing contracts which it expects to save the council £7.5m. The contract is for ten years but can be extended by up to 20 years and includes design services and street lighting. The expectation is for savings of £750,000 a year. Peterborough City Council announced in August that Atkins had been awarded the contract and Skanska recently acquired Atkins' highways...
