IOW Festival takes steps to prevent traffic chaos

Major changes have been made to the Isle of Wight Festival travel and car parking access to prevent a repeat of last year’s traffic chaos.

Torrential rain at the 2012 event resulted in the main car park being waterlogged with hundreds of cars unable to enter or use the site.

The festival’s promotors have pledged to double the number of parking spaces at the site and to asphalt the entrances at the Seaclose Park site in Newport.
