JMP Consultants has been appointed by the Tyne Valley Rail Users Group to assess the potential for re-opening the former Gilsland Station to serve the Hadrian’s Wall world heritage site. JMP Consultants said that two previous studies were limited to the demand generated from the resident population. The new study will take account of the potential for tourism trips to be generated, the firm said.
