West Yorkshire’s council leaders are to pay a levy to support the proposed West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund.
The levy that the five districts pay each year to the West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority for public transport will be increased by 2% to £105m in 2013/14 with the rise ring-fenced for the transport fund.
The funding will help repay borrowing that is used to initially finance the transport improvements.
