Allow experts to identify nation’s transport priorities, says Uni panel

Ministers should appoint a board of experts to advise on the nation’s transport and other infrastructure priorities, according to a new report by the London School of Economics.

LSE’s Growth Commission also recommends that more of the transport budget is devoted to roads.

It says an infrastructure strategy board should produce advice for Government on the infrastructure needs of the nation and run public consultations on the costs and benefits of policy options.
